Gabe's First Surgery

On our way to Hawthorne Surgical Center

On June 28th, Gabe had bilateral tubes put in his ears. He suffered through 12 ear infections in just 18 months. Dr. McGuirt Jr with Piedmont Ear, Nose and Throat performed the operation. In only 10 minutes Gabe had undergone the procedure and was recovering. He was really grouchy afterwards but was much better after eating some breakfast and taking Tylenol. Gabe was back to his normal self by dinner time and the next day you wouldn't have know he had surgery the day before. Hopefully this minor procedure is the answer to our prayers.

Dan Nicholas State Park

On Memorial Day we went to Dan Nicholas State Park with family and friends to celebrate the much needed day off. We had a blast at the zoo, on the train and carousel, at the park, and in the water play area. We will definately be visiting again!

Raising Support

About 2 weeks ago we began raising support for our vision trip to Ecuador. Daryl and I will be traveling July 30-August 10 and the trip will cost $4,100. At first, raising that kind of money seemed impossible with the trip just 6 weeks away but we gave this over to God. We know that God has called us to full time missions and if He wants us to go on this trip then He will provide. It's only been 2 weeks and we are already amazed at how He is providing for us.

Lila Ruth

Lila Ruth Spangler arrived in the US on April 25th, 2010. My older brother, Jonathan, and his family happily welcomed home the newest addition to their family. Lila Ruth was born in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and turned 1 year old May 31st. This little girl is a ball of energy and can easily captivate the heart of anyone she meets. Our family is so blessed to have her in our lives.
